ABOUT

Most technically exceptional founders don’t struggle with innovation.
They struggle when a technically impressive system isn’t yet turning into momentum – when investor conversations stall, the story doesn’t hold under pressure, and execution starts to feel harder than it should.

That gap is where I operate.

I partner early with highly technical founders in robotics, industrial systems, and AI – often before things are fully formed – to help move from technical possibility to credible, fundable, executable company paths. My work begins when decisions are non-obvious, narratives are unclear, and conviction has to be built without perfect information.

Over the past five years, I’ve partnered with founders across 35+ early-stage DeepTech companies, with approximately $25M invested at the earliest stages. I focus primarily at pre-seed and seed, where judgment, technical underwriting, and direct founder support determine whether a company regains forward motion or quietly stalls.

I’m frequently the first institutional believer or early internal advocate on technically heavy companies. I get involved when initial reactions are skeptical, when financings slow or break, when lead investors hesitate, or when strategy needs to be reset. I work closely with founders to translate complex engineering into clear narratives, realistic milestones, and investable paths forward – without diluting the technical truth of what they’re building.

Founders trust me because we speak the same engineering language. Before venture, I spent six years as a systems engineer in industrial automation, control systems, and infrastructure, designing and commissioning real-world systems inside pharmaceutical plants, data centers, and R&D facilities. Those systems had to work in production environments – not just on slides. That experience allows me to surface real technical and execution risk early and help teams make better decisions before momentum breaks.

Today, that engineering foundation lets me operate as a bridge between technical teams and the broader venture and customer ecosystem – aligning engineers, operators, investors, and executives around what actually matters next, not just what sounds compelling.

Alongside investing and advisory work, I build and curate trusted founder and investor communities focused on robotics, industrial AI, and real-world autonomous systems. These are deliberately small, high-signal environments where technically rigorous founders and aligned capital exchange insight early, pressure-test ideas honestly, and form relationships before consensus forms.

How I Help

  • Turn complex technical systems into narratives that hold up under investor scrutiny
  • Underwrite technical and execution risk at the earliest stages
  • Support fundraising strategy, syndicate formation, and investor process navigation
  • Act as a conviction partner during ambiguous, high-stakes inflection points
  • Help teams move from prototype to real-world deployment with realistic milestones

How to Engage

I invest, advise, and collaborate with founders building technically ambitious systems where the problem is genuinely hard and the path forward is not yet obvious. I’m most useful when clarity, judgment, and conviction matter more than momentum alone. If you’re looking for surface-level validation or late-stage optimization, I’m likely not the right fit.

What Founders Say

“Bogdan helped us significantly during our seed fundraise, including introducing us to our lead investor, and remains a valuable sounding board for major decisions. He’s one of the few people who have materially influenced the trajectory of our company.”
Gary Chen, Founder & CEO, Raise Robotics
“Bogdan was among our first angel investors and has been a trusted advisor ever since – guiding us through the spin-out process, investor strategy, and fundraising. He’s remained one of the investors I trust most as we’ve grown.”
Jared O’Leary, Founder & CEO, SirenOpt
“Bogdan provided ongoing strategic guidance across fundraising, go-to-market, and broader company direction. His advice on engaging U.S. investors was particularly valuable as we scaled internationally.”
Pavlo Pikulin, Founder & CEO, Deus Robotics
